So, the answer is update of assignment marks on score card. If only theory marks are updated on grade card, then the status will show incomplete for any course.

IGNOU Grade Card Dec 2019

The Indira Gandhi National Open University compiles the result of all its students in the form of IGNOU grade card. Whenever the university declares the result, the results are finally updated in the student’s result grade card.

The University conducts the term end examinations in the month of June and December i.e twice in a year for its various programmes such as Master Degree, Bachelor Degree, Diploma and Certificate, etc.

Students can check the grade card on the university official website for various programmes such as Bachelor Degree Programmes (BDP), Bachelor of Arts(BA), Bachelor of Computer Applications(BCA), Master of Computer Applications(MCA), Master of Business Administration(MBA) (MP), Bachelor od Science(B.Sc.), Bachelor of Tourism Studies(BTS), MSW, BSW, Bachelor of Education(B.Ed.), MA Distance Education(MADE), MA(English)(MEG), BNS, DNS, BAFD, BTME, BLIS, BTAE, BTELVI, BSCFWT, MP(B&F), MBAFT, MA(EDU), MAAN, MHD, MAH, MPS, MPA, MEC, MSO, MARD, MAPC etc.

IGNOU Grade Card Status

The Ignou grade card consists of five sections which include the Course Code, Term End Theory, Term End Practicals, Assignments and Status.

Every time the university declares the Term End Exam Result, the university updates the each section in the grade card with the Course code, assignment marks, theory marks, practical marks and the status of the course.

If the student has been declared pass in any particular course, the status in the score card for that particular course will be mentioned as Complete.

If the student is unable to get the passing marks in the theory or assignment marks, the status of the course will be mentioned as Incomplete.

The section for Term End Practical examinations will be updated only for the programmes for which practical courses are mandatory.

The university updates the marks card after the declaration of June and December result. Also, the result grade card is updated after submission of solved assignments by students. In some cases, it is also updated after the declaration of revaluation result.

IGNOU Grade Card Result 2020

The university updates the grade card for each student who is pursuing any of the Master Degree, Bachelor Degree, Diploma, certificate programmes. After the declaration of result, the university updates the student marks card and send it to student residential address in the form of mark sheet.

If any of the students do not receive at home, they are advised to contact their respected regional centre. The students can also download the duplicate copy of their Ignou grade card from the university official website.

The grades are awarded to the different courses as A,B,C,D & E Where “E” grade will be awarded to the student who is unable to pass out some particular course or no. of courses.

These awards are later matched to the particular percentage of marks. Apart from grades, the university has two more grading systems. These are mentioned below in the form of tabular form so that you can easily compare each other:

Note: There is one more grade known as ‘Z’ which has been assigned to the course for which student has written nothing in the Term End Examination Answer Sheet or in Solved Assignment work.

Duplicate IGNOU Grade Card

If any student loses his or her Original result card via mistake or gets damage, then he or she can apply for the duplicate result grade card by paying a fee of Rs 150/- in the form of Demand Draft(DD) in the favour of IGNOU payable at “New Delhi”. The students can apply for the Duplicate grade card by downloading the application form from the university website at www.ignou.ac.in.
